  • Breakfast timing can be strict — Breakfast is served until 09:30, and one guest was turned away at 09:25.
  • Potential communication issues at check-in — One guest was given the wrong address on their booking confirmation, and check-in may require cash despite card advertising.
  • Inconsistent room quality — While some rooms are recently renovated, others may lack phone/internet or have maintenance issues like missing bathroom lights.

“I picked La Luna Romana to visit Piazza di Spagna, and the location was perfect. The multilingual reception staff were a nice surprise, and there were plenty of historic restaurants and wine bars nearby. The third-floor breakfast buffet had a good variety of tasty options.”

“My booking confirmation listed Via Quintino Sella 3, but the actual property is at Via Flavia 84, about a block and a half away. Locals helped me find it. There was a note in Italian on the door at the wrong address, which wasn't helpful without a phone. Check-in was cash only, despite the booking saying cards were accepted. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though there were no phones or internet. Breakfast was excellent. A light over the bathroom basin was missing, with wires exposed, and I reported it but nothing was done. The reception staff were friendly but not very effective at fixing things. Overall, I was satisfied and would recommend it for budget stays.”

“The hotel was very nice, and the reception team were friendly and welcoming.”

“Staying here puts you right in the middle of things. There's an airport shuttle, 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, Wi-Fi, and bus stops to major sites. You're between two metro stops and a bus from Piazza Venezia. It's in an old palace, with free Wi-Fi and concierge services.”

7.2Verified guest

“I didn't like anything about this hotel—it was a nightmare. The only kind person was the receptionist.”

7.2Verified guest

“I stayed three nights. The day shift staff were excellent—helpful and knowledgeable. When storm damage hit, I was moved to another room immediately. The decor was tasteful, the continental breakfast had plenty of hot water for tea, and the location was great for walking to sights and shops. Good restaurants nearby with fair prices. I'd highly recommend it.”
